Third day: Consolation is dialogic, it is offering
“Do In the shadow of your wings I will take refuge until the trouble is past” (Ps 57:2).
“Consolation” is dialogic: a dialogue of love, harmony.
It is a light that guides the “blind”. It permeates existence. It is a tent that welcomes and shelters. It is a gentle presence, a silent word, a light on the path, calm in the trial. It is liberation, a foretaste of Divine Peace, a taste of eternal happiness. In the daily fabric of existence it is a perfume that restores, expands the soul, recreates it, renews it. It is a spiritual caress, humble, discreet. It is needed today.
It is an integral, permanent attitude of the heart, which demands the elimination of every rigidity, harshness, aggressiveness. It is dew. Consolation is not just a word, it is action and offering. (Mother Nazarena)
Litany:
Simple and profound, pray for us
Missionary in the Son, pray for us
Faithful disciple, pray for us Spirit, pray for us
LET US PRAY
Oh Lord Jesus Christ,
by whose inscrutable providence
every gift is conveyed to us through your mother Mary,
graciously grant that honouring her
under beloved name of Comforter,
we may enjoy her help and protection.
Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen
