After a year during which the community remained closed without anyone present, we were blessed with the grace to return to Puerto Leguízamo. The joy we experienced upon our arrival is indescribable.
The people welcomed us with great happiness, having patiently awaited our return. As a beautiful gesture of generosity and love, they organized a warm welcome on the very day of our arrival. This meaningful reception made us feel immediately at home, dispelling all the anxiety we had before reaching our mission.
From the very first day, the community took care of us with great dedication. We did not have to worry about anything, as families generously brought us prepared food, and the parish priest kindly ensured that our needs were met.
Our Consolata parish had carefully cleaned both the outside and the inside of the house, joyfully awaiting the arrival of the sisters. Thus, we were received with great warmth, finding everything clean and well arranged, with hearts and homes open so that we could truly live as one family. Their presence and accompaniment continue to be a constant sign of communion.
Their kindness is constant and overflowing. Each day, members of the community visit us, bringing food, sharing what they have, and accompanying us in true fraternity.

We also had the honor of receiving the visit of the Bishop, who gave us an official welcome to the Vicariate of Puerto Leguízamo. With gratitude, we also acknowledge the welcome, support, and closeness of the Consolata Fathers to all the religious and diocesan congregations present in the vicariate.
With great joy, we participated in the celebration of Holy Thursday, which was held a week earlier. It was a beautiful and grace-filled occasion that allowed us to take part in the diaconal ordination of John Edson. During the celebration, we joyfully joined the Afro-Colombian community in a dance during the bible procession, an experience that filled our hearts with joy.
We also remember with deep gratitude the sisters who previously served in this mission. Their generous dedication has left a lasting legacy that continues to inspire and is fondly remembered by the people.
We recognize that this mission is the place where the Lord has called us to be. We are deeply grateful to our Consolata family for entrusting us with this gift of sharing life and faith with this community.
In this Easter season, we rejoice in the presence of the Risen Lord, alive among His people, revealed in their love, generosity, and unity.
From Puerto Leguízamo, we wish you a Happy and Blessed Easter.
