We thank the Lord, Our Lady of Consolation, and the Founder for this beautiful gift to our Family!
The Beatification encourages us to embrace the legacy of Sr. Irene—a legacy characterized by evangelical simplicity, missionary passion, mercy, authenticity of life, and an ability to understand and touch the hearts of others. It has been said of her: “She was a woman gifted with a genuine respect for our people, our culture, and our language, as well as many virtues that made her beloved by all” (Archbishop Nicodemus Kirima of Nyeri, in a letter to the Consolata Missionaries, September 20, 1991).
Let us experience this time of preparation for the Beatification as a “favorable time” to rediscover the beauty and goodness of our charism, and to set out once again with enthusiasm along the paths of mission today!

Called by the Holy Spirit to share in the Charism, God’s gift to Father Founder, we offer our life to Christ forever, in the mission ad gentes,
that is, to non-Christians,
for the proclamation of salvation and consolation.
